Luxor Market
The old Market street is now almost deserted just a few stubborn traders refusing to move.
best way to cut up the meat with something solid underneath. (the floor)
Nothing like the tasty fish fags.
This is a favorite, salted dried fish smells like sh** but tastes good.
The greens are ladies fingers
pomegranates are my favorite fruit, in the uk we can only buy these in November Here almost all year round,Green oranges are coming in after one month we will get the Orange ones and mandarines. all the fruit and veg here in Luxor is grown in Egypt.
These people are trying to sell bread outside the market and are being moved off. or pay!

There are several new Mosques Just been built in this are
beats me why they can not maintain the ones they have already.
on a recent visit to the Islamic part of Cairo I was appalled at the amount of Mosques in disrepair
some of them where very old(Ottoman)and beautifully built.
This New one is Just across the road,
The culvert that carries water for the crop inundation They are widening this road and putting a concrete cover to the whole of the culvert.
Looking towards the Nile with the new police station+ Jail
This Land belongs to the Catholic Church and has a no build clause on it, but for how long?
